Lawrence Fishburne’s Daughter Mirrors us All
I’m reading clutch magazine online a few weeks ago when I stumble across the article which mentions Lawrence Fishburne’s daughter starring in a porne film. http://clutchmagonline.com/newsgossipinfo/where-did-laurence-fishburne-go-wrong/. I did my share of forwarding the article and even bashing young 19 year-old daughter Montana for her stupid action.
On the way home, I listened to a few radio programs which talked about her ridculous antics for attention. Radio personalities, who I’m sure have never met her called her all sorts of silly and sad for trying to get famous in this manner, when her father is pretty much a household name. I did my part and nodded in agreement.
It wasn’t until the next day that I was struck with an epiphany. I mean a jaw dropping moment socked me in the mouth to close it.
I am just like Montanna. Many of us are! I mean, no, I’m not thinking about getting stripped bare and showing my belly push-ups on camera, but in a spiritual sense, I’ve taken the “rotten” path to try to achieve my goals rather than rely on the resources of my spiritual father.
I have ventured into the darkness rather than call on his name for guidance and resources. I have ignored his ability and willingness to help to try to obtain accomplishments on my own and each time, I shunned my spiritual father, my plans ended up backfiring, crumbling or simply failing.
So before you cast your stones or hurl your own insults at Montana, take a real close look and you might see yourself in her image.

wow.. mirrors are something else. way to remind us of our reflection. lots of us want to forget what we see when we’ve done our primping there-in to change what others will see outside of it. i know i’ll be praying for her as i do for all of my children.
Thanks for sharing this perspective. I just chopped up Montana’s situation as another lesson learned. We all look back, and have regrets for some of our past decisions. Unfortunately, our past eventually comes back to haunt us.
